the Costa del Sol

Calahonda
These are two
neighbouring villas, located in Calahonda on a private estate midway
Marbella and Fuengirola. They are well equipped and have enclosed
gardens and swimming pool areas which are safe for children. There
is plenty to see and do, especially for the golf-lovers amongst you
with several courses located nearby. It has three rooms.

Mijas Costa
This four-bedroomed
villa which benefits from an advantageous 'studio flat' to
accommodate an independent couple in the party as it contains a
small separate sitting area, mini-fridge, kettle and CD player. The
villa is well furnished, with handsome mountain views from the pool
and terrace, whilst three of the bedrooms share views of the garden.

El Gastor
Set within a 100-acre
domain, El Establo is one of three houses (the others being La Casa
Grande and La Casa Pequena) created by Frenchman Michel, a musician
with an artist's discerning eye for beauty. Cleverly converted from
the old stable block which sits by the entrance to Los Algarrobales,
El Establo blends rustic simplicity with comfort in an interior
resplendent with Andalucian ceramics and artefacts. Floor tiles the
colour of Rioja wine and wheat-coloured walls are the foil for
intricately wrought ironwork and antique farm tools in the open plan
living-dining room. In the two bedrooms (one double and one twin),
which share a bathroom, pastel walls and hand-woven rugs add a very
Andalucian appeal to the airy interiors.
El Establo's greatest charms lie outside, where a splendid swimming
pool is fringed by luxuriant shrubs.

Villas and apartments for rent on the
Costa del Sol west , Spain
|

|
|
|
The Costa del
Sol is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations.
The area's mild climate is
the main attraction in bringing thousands of holidaymakers every year - a
climate that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of
outdoor activities all year round.
Mile upon mile of golden beaches, warm seas,
fantastic golf courses and a variety of night life and tourist excursions
make it a perpetual number one attraction in Spain.
The Costa Del Sol sees more than two million
people a year arrive at Malaga airport heading to one of the many resorts
located along this stretch of coastline.
The Costa del Sol lies in Southern Spain,
stretching along the southern coastline from the Portuguese border, Costa
de La Luz, round via Gibraltar to the Costa del Sol and Costa de Almeria.
It stretches along 300kms of fabulous coastline.
Andalusia
comprises Spain's eight most southerly provinces and is bordered by the
Sierra Morena, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
The Costa del Sol includes about 300km of the
Spanish Mediterranean Coast belonging to the Provinces of Granada, Malaga
and Cadiz.
The coast is made up of a series of large
beaches, coves hidden among cliffs, harbours and fishing villages. Its
mild climate and long sunny, summer days have made this area of Spain an
ideal holiday destination for Europeans.
The Costa del Sol can be divided into east
and west. The eastern area is the 54 kilometre stretch of coast from the
east of Malaga city. Although it has become highly developed from a
property point of view, it is not anything like the property development
on the western Costa del Sol.
But it is in western Costa del Sol where
most of the tourism is concentrated.
This coastline stretches 100km from
Malaga city westward all the way to the border of Cádiz province. It is
this part of the coast that is most highly developed in terms of both
property and infrastructure and it attracts an important percentage of
Spain's international tourism.
It boasts some of the Costa del Sol's most
important tourist resorts. Communications revolve around Malaga
International Airport which lies 8 km west of the city and the N340
coastal highway. Rail services run regularly westward to Fuengirola and
into the capital itself.
In the middle of the Costa the greatly
improved road from San Pedro de Alcantara inland to the historic town of
Ronda is the most important inland connection.
Road connections have also been improved all
the way to Gibraltar.

Temperatures on the Costa
del Sol
The Costa del Sol has average annual
temperatures of 18C and over 300 days of sunshine per year - easy
therefore to see why it is one of Europe's top holiday destinations.
Tourist attractions on the
Costa del Sol
The Costa del Sol is also the perfect base
for some of Spain's most important inland tourist attractions.
Away from the coast there are numerous
excursions into the real Spain with the cities of Ronda, Seville, Cordoba,
Jerez and Granada and the fabulous Alhambra all reachable on day tours.
The more adventurous can also take a 15km
trip across the Straits of Gibraltar to visit Tangier in Morocco.
Golf holidays on the Costa
del Sol
The western Costa del Sol also boasts some
of Spain's most impressive golf courses and it is a popular winter golfing
destination.
There are around 70 golf courses on
the "Costa del Golf" which can be played all year round as well as a whole
range of other activities such as scuba diving, horse riding, sailing and
dolphin safaris.
Costa del Sol Golf Courses stretch from
Sotogrande in the west to the lesser known Velez Malaga in the east. There
are courses to suit all levels.
Golf courses on the Costa
del Sol
The Costa
del Sol is known for its high quality golf courses. Golfing holidays are
increasingly popular on the Costa del Sol.
