Ibiza has a
reputation a disco and nightclub island where the party never stops

called the White Island for its typical architecture. It took off as a
major tourist resort during the 1960s becoming famous for

Balearic islands to mainland Spain. It's coastline covers 125 miles and

Ibiza is also steeped
in history, having been invaded by many civilisations, each of which left

The northeast tip of Ibiza hides its most
beautiful places. Portinatix has several lovely coves, a handful of hotels and offers a
relaxing, peaceful time. Es Canar and Santa Eulalia are also lovely
villages and are on the east coast of Ibiza. The rolling countryside of
the north is scattered with rich olive groves and lush woodland and offers

Home to
the longest beach in Ibiza there is no better place for
beach lovers to come in Ibiza than Playa D'en Bossa.

nightlife on a holiday in Playa d'en Bossa caters for

clubs.
San
Antonio Town is the liveliest resort on the island and
buzzes with activity, which is non-stop from June to
September. There's a small beach on the edge of town and
plenty more can be reached by water taxi or ferry.

Beaches on Ibiza
Ibiza has some magnificent beaches
and if you drive around the island, you will discover some excellent and
almost deserted stretches of coastline.
Most of the quieter beaches can be found in the north of the island - Xarracca, Rencli de S'illot or Xuclar
are worth a visit.

If you are not able to hire a car and are in San Antonio, go down to the marina and take
boats to Cala Bassa or Cala Conta, both excellent family beaches where the water is very shallow for a long way out.
